Growing up on the Southside of Chicago, Kate loved staying active playing sports, Irish dancing, and being barefoot outdoors with her dogs whenever possible. Initially drawn to yoga through her constant desire to find new and fun ways to workout and challenge her body, she first began practicing yoga at her local gym in 2008. During her high stress career as a CPA and business consultant, yoga provided the much needed stress release and mental balance that she could not find elsewhere, and chose to pursue multiple yoga and fitness certifications, as well as becoming a health coach to continue to share her passion and help others achieve their goals.
Kate thrives off of connecting with and guiding others, and believes a positive attitude and a smile can do a lot for someone’s day! Her yoga and strength classes focus on creating a positive, welcoming and fun environment, while utilizing strong knowledge of anatomy and body systems to create challenging, and intense sequences that are adaptable and accessible to all students. Outside of yoga, Kate loves spending time with her ever-growing extended family, exploring new places, faces and foods spots, snowboarding, bootcamp, interval and strength classes, and can often still be found running barefoot outside with her pups.
